Mark served our country as a Marine and has served Camp Hamilton since 1978. Mark and the other original volunteers used 5-gallon buckets to water the memorial trees. “Pour a little water on the trees, pour a little beer down the throat.” Their vision and physical labor resulted in 339 trees as of November 2021.
Mark Marquez invites you to Camp Hamilton.
Bea Ramirez and her family started coming out to Camp Hamilton in 2003. Her family's favorite activity was paint ball with neighborhood friends. After her son returned from the Air Force, she, her husband, and her son returned to help with the maintenance of the park. They have been around every since.
Katie Jones is a Marine wife and also comes from a Military family. Katie was first introduced to the Camp in 2006 by her husband. She loves the rich history and stories that can be found throughout camp, but more so, the camaraderie, fellowship, and support that comes from the Volunteers and their stories.
